What's the difference between coaching and consulting?

The difference between coaching and consulting is where the majoring of the work lies. With coaching, I am trained to use specific questions and models to draw out of you your best ideas, solutions and self-reflection....and then YOU get to work! With consulting, I WORK to assess, collaborate with you and/or your team, and offer expertise, advice and experience to influence the desired outcome.  Usually there is always an element of coaching in consulting...but consulting tends to be more outcomes-based while coaching is more processed-based.
